Patrick McCarthy / Owner
Patrick is the owner and founder of Piercology, Inc. He started piercing in 1991 and saw the need for a different type of Body Piercing Studio. A studio for those interested in body modification who wanted a professional atmosphere that specialized in and was dedicated solely to piercing. To this day Piercology is the only Piercing only studio in Columbus. A studio that would be 100% clean, sterile and safe.
He was the first elected president of the APP (Association of Professional Piercers), serving from 1999 to 2002. He also assisted in writing the piercing laws for the state of Ohio and is currently rewriting the laws for the state of Ohio.
After piercing for 20 years many people ask me how I have done it and if you love your job like I love piercing it is easy. After piercing for so many years it’s been fun piercing children of my once teenage pierces. Many of them saying “ Pat, you are our family piercer we would have nobody but you pierce our children” Even though I don’t pierce every day like I did for so many years, you can always make an appointment with me.

The newest addition to our staff, Kevin Jump has been piercing professionally for over 15 years and a member of the Association of Professional Piercers since 2003. In that time he has worked at some of the country’s most highly accredited studios, includingInfiniteBody Piercing (Philadelphia), The Painted Bird (Cincinnati) and guest spots at Rings of Desire (New Orleans) and Enigma ProfessionalPiercing (San Diego) to name a few. Kevin now focuses his energy on Piercology, offering his services and knowledge, here inColumbus,Ohio. Kevin has built an extensive portfolio through his years in the industry and enjoys large gauge procedures, advanced genital,surface work and facial projects. Kevin L / Counter Bitch
Kevin has lived all over the world, born in Stuttgart, Germany. His father was in the army and this afforded him the opportunity to live all over Europe and America.
Finished High School at Reynoldsburg H.S. and then started his first career in the restaurant business. He worked as a waiter in some of the best restaurants in the city, filling his life with a zest for customer service and a love of food.
Kevin ran the bar at an upscale private night club for several years before finally deciding to do something different with his life. He started working our counter and developed a new passion for the body modification industry. He enjoys finding a special piece of jewelry to go with each person’s unique personality.
Education is another of Kevin’s passions. He has attended Columbus States culinary program and is currently at Franklin University working on a degree in Marketing. His goals in life are to become a piercer and to one day become a restaurateur.
Hobbies include anthropology, comic books, cooking, and linguistics. Kevin is looking forward to taking classes on how to make jewelry. When not at home playing with his cats, Audrey and Mitternacht, Kevin can be found out and about in the city riding his beloved scooter.

My name is Ben Poling. I am an aggressive roller-blader in my free time. I have been doing it for around 10 years now. I have traveled too quite a few states too film for the videos I have been in. The last 2 were sold in shops. I’m very excited about apprenticing at Piercology and making piercing my career of choice. Come in and say hi!
